Summer has officially begun! Here in Northern Virginia we really don’t get much of a spring. It’s either a cold winter or a hot summer. This year is no different. Hot, steamy and lots of nats in the air. It makes tending to a garden a challenge. I’m not growing much this year so we’ll see how it turns out. I much prefer to head to the farmers markets and support the local farmers. Lots of great blueberries, veggies that are great with salad dressings and great to use for dips. What are you finding at your farmers markets? I hope you’ve created recipes with your great finds. Please share them here.
Here are some tasty looking recipes from last week.
Sesame Seed Crackers from Easy To Be Gluten Free
Dairy Free Berry Mousse from Whole New Mom
Mellow Lime Dressing from City Life Eats
Caesarish Salad Dressing from She Let Them Eat Cake
What will you share today? Here are the guidelines. Please don’t forget to link back to this post.
Guidelines:
Please link back to this post so your readers can find lots of great recipes.
Link to your individual post, not your home page.
Please share recipes made with very little packaged ingredients but using single food ingredients or Real Food. Maybe 1 or 2 if the list of ingredients is long. If I bake something I’m usually using almond flour but I didn’t make it myself. So you see where I’m going with this.
Please do not link giveaways or book reviews, this is for recipes with Real Food.
As always, have fun!
Now hopefully that doesn’t seem to difficult. The point is to share Real Food with Real People!
Please don’t make me be a meanie and have to remove your link if you don’t follow the guidelines.
When you share your recipe feel free to grab one of these badges, or as Tia calls it Real Food Bling, and add it to your post. You can even add it to your blog sidebar.
You can find these on the page dedicated to Real Food Weekly.

Hi Diane,
I shared my GF Coconut Pecan Drop Cookies with a video!
Hmmm, we're not that far from you, but I think we actaully had a lovely spring this year. Lasted longer than normal anyway, but yes, it's sweltering now. Not that many offerings yet as far as fruits and veggies at our farmers market as the rule is that everything has to come from our county. And despite the heat, I baked a delicious little cake for you … well, really for my dad and a few events, but I hope you'll enjoy it!
Hugs,
Shirley
Thanks so much for linking to my dressing Diane! This week I linked up a Blueberry Buckle! Have a great day.
Moved to eastern panhandle (WV) last summer from northern WI–and yes, the humidity is a bit more than we're used to, and thanks but I'll skip the gnats! 🙂 Anyway, I wanted to let you know of a great "little" thing you can add to your food that makes EVERYTHING taste so much better: pink sea salt. I get mine from Sustainable Sourcing….here's their website: https://secure.sustainablesourcing.com I love your website and will be linking to it from mine! Thanks so much!!!
Hi Diane!
Not much here in Alaska at the farmer's markets yet either. I planted some herbs last week, and some sugar snap peas, but I'm looking forward to seeing how I do (plants and I don't generally do very well… I hope they survive!).
If I stumble upon some GF prosciutto here (I've been looking for it) I'm going to have to try a grilled version of your Prosciutto Wrapped Salmon. Great idea! It really looks wonderful!
🙂 Megan
Thanks for featuring my Sesame Seed Crackers! Linking up this week with Turkey Club Lettuce Wraps. As always thanks for hosting!
