Menu Plan Monday – February 8, 2010

What an amazing Super Bowl game.  The New Orleans Saints are World Champions.  That is so cool.  I spent the day cooking up a storm even though it was just us.  After all, my family are my most important people to feed!  For now the snow has stopped leaving us around 3 feet of snow, in Northern Virginia!  We’re supposed to get more tomorrow.  Now that’s just crazy.  I think it’s time to move!

Great food week coming up with Chinese New Year and Valentine’s Day.  So are  you going out or are you going to cook?  It’s always more impressive to cook a meal for someone.  You know you could practice it before the big day.  That’s what chefs do!

Have a great week and let me know, are you cooking or going out to celebrate this week?

Monday – Buffalo Cranberry & Wine Sausage with Pork

Tuesday – Sesame crusted mahi mahi, grilled onion and pineapple

Wednesday – Chinese Beef and Broccoli from Jaden Hair’s book Steamy Kitchen Cookbook

Thursday – Lobster and black bean tacos with tomatillo salsa

Friday – Rosemary chicken with dates and olives

Saturday – Dinner at Charlie Palmer Steak House

Sunday – Mexican Seafood SoupChocolate Macadamia Nuts

Your menu looks great. I wish I had the ingredients for that Rosemary Chicken. We're still snowed-in. Finally shoveled out the driveway, but our street hasn't been plowed even once yet. Maybe tomorrow? Hope I can get out before the snow falls again.

Heather- I'm ready to give up all of this snow. Want to join me?

Lobster and black bean tacos? Sounds impressive!

Alta- Well the trick is to make the lobster go a long way.
