Earlier this year the Gluten Free Food Critic was born at a restaurant in Laguna Beach, California. I started the blog as soon as I got home but have not added much content, until now. We love to eat out and it’s always going to be gluten free and dairy free meals for us. So I thought I would share my experiences with you.
The posts are sorted by the ones I would Go Back to and Not Go Back and by location. The restaurants where I eat are usually individual establishments and not often part of a chain or group. I like to eat where chefs are creating their dishes from whole foods and they know exactly what it contains and where it came from. These tend to be a little more expensive, but I tend to have better luck. After all what is not getting sick for a week worth to me, more than that meal just cost.
So I hope you will jump over to Gluten Free Food Critic and sign up either by email or RSS feed to find out about great meals and maybe not so great meals eaten out. Keep an eye out for a contest coming soon and tasty things to win.
If you have a restaurant you’ve heard good things about I would love to hear all about it too. I am always looking for a new place to try.
If you write a blog and post about a restaurant where you have eaten gluten free, please bring it to my attention and I would be happy to announce it via a post and link back to your review. The more we can share this information on eating great meals out that are gluten free the better. We’ll all get to have a little more fun and help our economy.

Eat out gluten free and dairy free and don’t be afraid to try some place new!
When you eat out, do you always do dairy-free too, or just GF?
Alisa- I always eat both gluten and dairy free, at home or out at a restaurant. I just make sure the restaurant reviews focus on the gluten. I think people have a harder time eating out gluten free. I find most restaurants get dairy free. Some people have a harder time with gluten. However, I always stress both and take the time to explain anything I need to. I ask lots of questions. I promise to do a write up on tips on eating out gluten and dairy free.
Great idea, I'll go check it out!
Jenn- Thank you! Let me know if you have any favorite gluten free and dairy free restaurants.
What a great idea! Eating out is so stressful for me! Tips and restaurant reviews are always helpful!
Iris- OK, so it's time for me to get busy on that list. I have one started somewhere. Don't stress over eating out. Plan, talk, ask lots of questions and have fun!
Loved your restaurant reviews, MIL
Judy- Thank you!
