This week will be a short week of cooking for me. I’m headed to the BlogHer Food Conference in San Francisco. I’m very excited to learn more about food blogging and meet some great writers of the blogs I read. I will try to post on the food in the area and if all goes well, share some video messages from food bloggers.
If you want to find out what I’m learning and up to as it happens, follow me on Twitter. Go to www.twitter.com/thewholegang or use the blue t link on this blog. If you don’t have a twitter account it’s quick and easy to set up and it’s free. You can find out lots of great information before others. For the conference I’ll be using the #blogherfood09 in the tweets like others.
Monday – Veal Scallopini with shallots, green beans and fingerling potatoes
Tuesday – Quick Fry Pork Chops with sauteed apples
Wednesday – Meatloaf in the crockpot
Thursday– next Monday Freezer Finds for the Guys!
This week’s Secret Ingredient for Friday Foodie Fix is Potatoes. Hopefully I gave you an easy one so you can fill up my post with great potato recipes. Now if you’re at the conference with me I’ll put this post up a little early so you can join in too.

What a great photo, Diane! Real food is so beautiful. 🙂 Even for a short week, that's impressive! I have traditional chili cooking in the crockpot today (from my freezer container of leftovers suitable for chili since it was full). I won't really be cooking for Mr. GFE after today, but I will be still cooking and in the kitchen a lot because I have the support group meeting here tomorrow night. There will be that chili with the mushrooms, a baked chicken dish, and two new flavors of ice cream for sure. We'll also have lots of raw choices as that is what our presentation will be tomorrow night.
You have such great plans for the BlogHer Food conference! I'll take my laptop and try to follow your lead (well, except for the video part, but that is awesome that you will be doing that). 😉
Shirley
Shirley- Somehow the short week turned long. I'm still playing with jet lag. Hope to be fully functioning soon. I hope my monthly menu made sense. I'll look at it next week. So glad I have lots of food in the freezer. Now I can share those videos. I got tons of great folks to share ideas and I'll pass that along.
Have a great time at BlogHer Diane! I hope I can meet you there next year. 🙂
Cheers!
