Last week my new Sur La Table catalog came. As I sat looking through it, I couldn’t stop myself from making all sorts of sounds. I was drooling over the new Le Crueset Cassis color cast iron and stoneware. So, I made a trip to the store and bought a 3 1/2 quart French Oven and a 10.5 inch rectangular baker that came with a free 7″ x 5″ baker with my Christmas money. It’s beautiful!
I will have to use it this week, but what to cook. I know I have this menu planned, but I may need to make a little something new.
Keep in mind that the Secret Ingredient for Friday Foodie Fix is broccoli. If you have not checked back on last week’s cauliflower, you should. There are some really good ones. I’ll also be adding one with a delicious lunch I made today.
Monday - Turkey Burgers (Greek), Hand Cut Oven Fries, peas
Tuesday - Pork Pupusas, refried beans, Jicama and Watercress Salad
Wednesday - Ostrich steaks, Polenta Fries, roasted broccoli
Thursday - Shrimp Scampi with pasta
Friday - Unstuffed Cabbage Soup
Saturday - Red Chileatole with mushrooms, chicken & zucchini (R.B.)
Sunday - Roasted Whole Fish, rice, sauteed vegetables
