Menu Plan Monday – August 10

white zinnia

I’m really enjoying being on vacation and I think I’ll stay here another week or two.  Of course that won’t stop me from blogging but I’ll be working at a slower pace.  I’m also working on clearing out the house before the rush of the new school year is upon us.  The quiet before the storm.  Making sure my pantry is organized and if there is anything I’ve had way too long bring that to the front so I can cook it.  Same thing with the freezer and refrigerator.  They are pretty cleared out since I take inventory every month and we freeze and eat our leftovers.  I did find an old box of ice cream.  We’ll have to get the visiting friends of my son to eat this up.  Hate to see things go to waste.

So what are you doing to get ready for the fall?  Have you had a vacation yet?  What are you doing for fun?  I hope it includes good food and people you like to share it with.

Monday – Mahi Mahi

Tuesday – Chicken Wings

Wednesday – Beef and Cabbage with Tomatoes

Thursday – Ostrich

Friday – Catch of the Day

Saturday – Crab Cakes from Gluten Free Every Day Cookbook

Sunday – Spaghetti with Turkey Meatballs

Get those Tomato recipes ready for Friday Foodie Fix.  Remember if you don’t have a blog to leave your recipe in the comments section.

    Good Afternoon Diane,

I am so glad you are having such a great vacation. Our family has cut beef totally out of our diet(as much as we can), my hubby is still a big beef eater and replaced it with more exotic meats like goat & buffalo. I see that you have for your Thursday menu: Ostrich. Would love your perspective on how this exotic meat tastes.

Keep up the great work ;)
