Menu Plan Monday -March 30

monday menu plan

This week has one of my favorite days of the year.  Every year I love to craft some creative ways to “get” my family.  One of my past favorites was getting my kids up for school and telling them they needed to retake the standardized test because the school called and the machine that reads the answer sheet ate their forms.  But my favorite was when Scott, my husband, worked 1 hour away and I drove to the parking garage to move his car a couple of levels higher than where he parked.  Being a creature of habit I knew exactly where he would park and where he would look.  When he went to report his car stolen to the garage attendant, he was handed a letter from me, which stated- I love you- April Fools, and directions where he could find his car.  So, what will your Wednesday be like?

Monday –Cornish Game Hens, wild rice, shallots and mushrooms
Tuesday –Flat Iron Steaks, orange and white potatoes
Wednesday- Shrimp Cocktail Salad
Thursday- Turkey Burgers- so many flavors to choose from
Friday- Tilapia wrapped in bacon
Saturday- Birthday Dinner Out
Sunday- Roasted Whole Chicken, steak salt potatoes, green beans

Wow, that is one tough April Fool's joke! I think my husband would be grateful that I just swapped out the inner bag of his raisin bran (he is not GF) with a less healthy cereal that my son was eating at the time. This was a long time ago, but I still remember how puzzled he was when he poured out his cereal and got the other. He kept looking at the box. LOL
    Happy Birthday!

Shirley- I love the cereal swap. Very funny. This morning I had a squirrel in my refrigerator thanks to my 15 year old. I'll have something fun for him later. I should be nice to my husband since it's his birthday this weekend. I'll pass along the wishes. Thank you!
